Meriola manuel Platnick & Ewing, 1995: 24, figs 54–58 (male holotype and female allotype from San Manuel, Melipilla, Región Metropolitana, Chile, in AMNH, not examined).
Diagnosis. Males are very similar to M. tablas by the similar body shape, with a relatively flat oval carapace, and by the long, straight RTA that is widened basally, but differ by the mottled pattern of the abdomen and the longer RTA. Females (Fig. 49) are also similar to M. tablas by the flat oval carapace, but differ by the mottled abdominal pattern and the smaller spermathecae.
Description. Male and female described by Platnick & Ewing (1995).
Natural history and habitat. The specimens were found at altitudes between 200–800 m, in forest.
Distribution. Known from regions IV to VIII in Chile (Fig. 95b).
