Monza punctata punctata Aurivillius, 1910 (Udzungwa Mountains, Tanzania)

This material is based on a single field collected ovum collected at Sanje, Udzungwa Mountains, Tanzania, from which a female of f. canda was reared. The pale, smooth, dome-shaped ovum (Figure 47.1–2) is typical of many Hesperiinae . The caterpillar reared (Figure 47.3–4) is a close match to that illustrated from Ruo Gorge, Malawi (Figure 49), but the lateral part of the head is scarcely paler than the rest of the head.
