Diagnosis of the family Galumnidae Jacot, 1925

(=Аllogalumninae Balogh, 1960(a))

Gnathosoma with chelicerae chelate-dentate, cheliceral setae chb present, subcapitular genae and rutella represented by broad laminae, rutella with teeth distally, adoral setae present, length of distal palpal setae ul, sul and acm clearly less half of palptarsi. Other morphological character states correspond to those given in diagnosis of superfamily above.

Statement of monophyly: Paraphyletic with respect to Galumnellidae

Distribution: Cosmopolitan

Number of known taxa: 34 genera, nine subgenera (not including nominate subgenera), 547 species
