Distribution: India ( Karnataka, Maharashtra); Japan; Sumatra; Taiwan; Thailand (Pinkaew 2006).

Hosts: Larvae feed in stem galls of Perilla frutescens (Lamiaceae) and in the stems of Barleria (Acanthaceae) (Meyrick 1927, 1936; Fletcher 1932).
