Diagnosis. Ariadna arthuri is similar to A. obscura, A. tarsalis, A. multispinosa, A. reginae n. sp. and A. aurea n. sp. due to the morphology of the male metatarsi I (Figs 16C‒E, 32C‒E, 38C‒E, 54C‒E, 56C‒E) and macrosetae pattern of the tibia I‒II of females, but differ by the presence of males with a sinuous metatarsi I, with two apophyses on the distal region, bearing thickened macrosetae (Fig. 38C‒E); females differ by the presence of the anterior receptaculum with a sinuous dorsal lobe and a expanded ventral lobe, mainly at the base (Fig. 39C‒D).
Description. Male (IBSP 166771): Carapace and chelicerae orange (Fig. 38A). Endites yellow; labium dark yellow.
