Report associated with sponges: This species was reported from Bora Bora, Society Island among dead corals covered with algae and sponges (Bartsch 1992b).

Remarks: This species was also reported among Elizabeth Reef, Myrmidon Reef, Loadstone Reef, Club 21 Reef, Great Palm Island (Cannon Bay), Boulder Reef (Great Barrier Reef), Lihou Reef (Queensland Plateau), Australia among coarse sands, gravels, and rubbles (Otto 2000a).
