6. Photocryptus photomorphus Viereck

Biology. Parasitoid of a species of Sceliphron ( Sphecidae, Sceliphrinae) according to Schrottky (1915), at Puerto Cantera, Paraguay (27º11’58”S 55º38’25”W); Schrottky reports females using the ovipositor as a drill to dig into the clay of the host’s nests. Also reported as parasitoid of Brachymenes dyscherus (Saussure) by the same author in the same site.
