Dactuliothrips Moulton 1931 . Type species D. spinosus Moulton.
Diagnosis. Antennae 9-segmented (Figs 12–18); antennal segments with rings or annulations bearing microtrichia (Figs 12–20); antennal segments III–IV with two circular-to-oval, subapical, emergent sensoria (Figs 19–20); maxillary palpi with three segments, labial palpi with two segments; head and pronotum with long dark setae (Figs 21–36); fore tarsus with a distinct hamus; fore tibia with two strong setae on inner apex (Figs 72–75); fore femur with 2–9 spurs on inner margin that vary in the degree of development (Figs 63–73); wings fully developed, rounded at apex, longitudinal and cross veins present (Figs 77–81).
