Allophrys occipitata Khalaim, 2011

Remarks. This is a very distinct Allophrys species as it has an entirely polished vertex (Fig. 11); strongly oblique short and broad foveate groove in anterior half of mesopleuron (Fig. 13); mesopleuron impunctate, finely granulate and dull (Fig. 13); fore wing (Fig. 12) with second recurrent vein (2 m-cu) completely absent, intercubitus (2 rs-m) short and very thick, and brachial cell widely open posteriorly (second abscissa of postnervulus absent); hind wing venation largely reduced; and a short ovipositor with very shallow dorsal subapical depression. Antennal flagellum with 13 flagellomeres, slender and pale basally; subapical flagellomeres 1.3–1.4× as long as broad. Ovipositor sheath in type specimens is almost as long as first tergite, but is distinctly shorter (0.7×) in the female from Vietnam.

Distribution. Oriental species: South and North Vietnam (Hòa Bình, Vĩnh Phúc), East India (Assam).
