REMARKS. This species can be distinguished from P. cinctomaculata by its larger body size (body length about 33.5 mm, wing span about 128 mm), the rounded apex of the postclypeus when viewed from the dorsal side, and the light infuscation along the fore wing ambient vein in apical cells 1–4 (Torres 1960).
DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported only from Bolivia (Duffels & van der Laan 1985). The species has been reported from Comarapa, Siberia (Torres 1960).
