Xiphocentron (Antillotrichia) acqualume Rocha, Dumas & Nessimian 2017

Material examined. BRAZIL— Goiás: 2 ♂♂ (DZRJ) Alto Paraíso: PARNA Chapada dos Veadeiros, Córrego Rodoviarinha; 14º09′35.4″S, 47º49′33.4″W; 901 m; 25–28.iii.2013; Malaise trap; APM Santos, DM Takiya leg.

Distribution. Brazil (Minas Gerais and Goiás [new record] states) (Fig. 39).

Remarks. Xiphocentron acqualume has an inferior appendage length and the inferior appendage spines similar to the Caribbean species X. prolixum . However, X. acqualume has no mesal sclerite, differing in this character from X. prolixum and its similar species X. kamakan . The species occurs in the Paraná and Tocantins Basins, with records from the Cerrado of Minas Gerais and Goiás (Fig. 39).
