Remarks. Cerithium exile C.B. Adams, 1850 is a primary homonym of Cerithium exile Eichholz, 1829 . Therefore, Metaxia excelsa Faber & Moolenbeek, 1991 was introduced as a replacement name for C. exile C.B. Adams.
