Type material. NSMT-Mo 12093, holotype .

Distribution. Hawaii (Kay 1979; Hemmes & Goldsmith 1986; Hemmes et al. 1996d), Japan (Kosuge 1962a; Kay 1979; Higo et al. 1999; Higo et al. 2001).

Remarks. Okutani (2017) considered Euthymella lutea Kosuge, 1962 a junior synonym of Triforis clathrata Gould, 1861 .
