Type species: Eukerria halophila (Beddard, 1892)
Diagnosis: Small-sized Ocnerodrilidae earthworms with weak or better developed gizzard in vii, paired calciferous glands only in ix, proandric, quadrithecal, and quadriprostatic. There are 29 valid species (Brown et al. 2023), distributed throughout the world (particularly the cosmopolitan species), in Southeast Asia, several oceanic islands, Australia and South Africa (Blakemore 2006; Christoffersen 2008), though the genus appears to be of neotropical origin (Jamieson 1970; Righi 1983), where it is more highly diversified (Fragoso & Brown 2007), representing 26 species (counting the ones described here).
