Taxonomy. Theclosestrelativeofthenewspeciesis N. glauculalis (Hampson, 1893), thedetailedcomparisonisgivenintheDiagnosis. Thestructureof antennaeof N. mirabilis issimilartothatofcertaintaxaoccurringinthePhilippines, whiletheshapeandpatternofthewingsarerathersimilartothoseof N. blepharota (Strand, 1920) .

Diagnosis. Theexternalfeaturesandthegenitaliaof N. mirabilis aresimilartothoseof N. glauculalis . However, adarkareaispresentin N. mirabilis closetothesubterminalline, whichisabsentin N. glauculalis .
