Etymology: undulatus = Latin for wavy.

Larva described. Yes (Muzón 1997).

Distribution. Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul), Uruguay, Argentina, Chile.
Diagnostic characters. ♂ —Cercus in lateral view: basal 1/2 straight, slightly inclined upward, apical 1/2 comma–like with a twisted tip which is covered with pale setae; Cercus in medioventral view: basal expansion semicircular, without spines, a ridge separating the medial portion from the apical portion. Paraproct in lateral view: stout and very small (1/8 length of cercus). Paraproct in dorsal view: barely visible and slightly triangular.
♀ —Basal plate: species belonging to basal plate group 1 (Fig. 38), with dorsal side more than twice the length of ventral side. Posterior side with dorsal and ventral sections subequal. Dorsal side and dorsal section of posterior side straight, ventral section of posterior side concave (Fig. 39G). Pectoral color pattern as in Fig. 40M.
