Danaus chrysippus (Linnaeus, 1758)
—This migrant species was first observed by Jakšić & Ristić (1999) in the Kotor bay area, near Risan and in the vicinity of Budva town during the first half of September. From the list of its registered host plants (Tolman & Lewington 2008), only Gomphocarpus fruticosus (L.) W.T.Aiton is mentioned for the flora of the coastal region of Montenegro (Caković & Milošević 2013). D. chrysippus was later recorded in Croatia (Perković 2006) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (Koren & Kulijer 2016).
