Araschnia levana (Linnaeus, 1758)

—First recorded by Hadžić & Muković (2013) in the surroundings of Rožaje. It was also observed in the Đalovića gorge (Franeta & Gascoigne-Pees pers. obs.) on July 14th 2017. The apparent rarity of the species can be attributed to the lack of surveys in the northern part of Montenegro, where the butterfly may be more widespread.
