Lycaena thersamon (Esper, 1784)

—There are no published records for this species in Montenegro. The species was recorded in neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina (Lelo 2000), Serbia (Jakšić et al. 2013) and Albania (Verovnik & Popović 2013). The author observed several specimens in the vicinity of Grahovo on June 21st 2001 (Fig. 3). This appears to be a very scarce species in Montenegro, but its rarity can be partly explained by the very few entomological surveys undertaken in the western and northern parts of the country, where the species is expected to be discovered in new localities in the future.
