Gonepteryx cleopatra (Linnaeus, 1767)
—This is an unusually rare species in Montenegro, observed only locally, and in low numbers. Kühnert (1971) explains its rarity due to the absence of its host plant R hamnus alaternus in many apparently suitable locations along the coast. It has been reported from Mt. Sutorman near Bar (Carnelutti & Michieli 1958) and Buljarica near Petrovac (Švara et al. 2015). This species was also observed in an unusual habitat at almost 1300 m (Williams pers. comm.), along the Mokro–Šavnik road.
