Distribution in India: Jammu and Kashmir (Srinagar, Gulmarg, Sonmarg), Himachal Pradesh (Spiti), Ladakh (Zolotuhin 1998). Global records: not known.

Remark: Clisiocampa vulpes Hampson, 1900 (junior subjective synonym of Malacosoma prima (Staudinger, 1887)) is reported from Chitral (part of Pakistan) and not from northern India as erroneously mentioned by Zolotuhin (1998).
