Accepted name. Senna multijuga subsp. lindleyana (Gardner) H.S. Irwin & Barneby (1982: 498) .

Notes. Cassia semifalcata was proposed as a new species by Vellozo (1829: 167) without any indication of the holotype. As such, and following the recommendations of articles 9.11 and 9.12 of the ICNB (Turland et al. 2018), we are designating the illustration presented by Vellozo tab. 68, in Fl. Flumin., T. 4, 1831[“1827”]) as the lectotype of Cassia semifalcata, as that illustration contemplates all of the characters presented in the protologue, no type material was referred to in the original description, and no specimen used by Vellozo has been located.
