Material examined. 2 males, 1 ov. female, Ilha de Santa Bárbara (17°57’49”S 38°41’53”W), coll. GO. Soledade, 03.ix.2013, intertidal, under rocks, UESC 1555.

Distribution. Western Atlantic—Bermuda, North Carolina, Florida, Gulf of Mexico, Bahamas, West Indies, Central America, northern South America and Brazil (Atol das Rocas, Fernando de Noronha, Ceará to Paraná) (Christoffersen 1998; Masunari et al. 1998; Anker et al. 2008).
