Neostasina saetosa (Bryant, 1948) comb. nov.

Diagnosis. Females of N. saetosa comb. nov. resemble those of N. ouali sp. nov. (Fig. 126) by the median septum roughly oval (Fig. 129). They are distinguished from this species by the median septum with a deep, strongly procurved anterior groove (Fig. 129) and by the spermathecae with laterad loop and small rounded glandular projections (Figs 130−131). Males are unknown.

Description. Female (MCZ 22967, holotype): Prosoma, legs and pedipalps brown, densely mottled with dark brown spots. Chelicerae brown. Sternum orange with brown margins. Endites pale brown, distally cream colored. Labium brown, distally pale brown. Opisthosoma pale brown; dorsally with scattered irregular brown marks. Total length 12.0. Prosoma: 4.5 long, 3.8 wide. Opisthosoma: 7.5 long, 5.5 wide. Eyes: diameters: 0.20, 0.20, 0.14, 0.18; interdistances: 0.26, 0.20, 0.46, 0.36, 0.24, 0.14. Legs (2143): I: 12.8 (3.7, 2.0, 3.4, 2.9, 0.8); II: 13.0 (4.0, 2.1, 3.2, 2.9, 0.8); III: 10.6 (3.3, 1.8, 2.3, 2.4, 0.8); IV: 12.7 (3.9, 1.6, 2.8, 3.4, 1.0). Epigyne: epigynal field longer than wide; anterior rim entire, recurved; median septum almost two times wider than long (Fig. 129). Vulva: spermathecae with anterior twist (Figs 130−131).

Male: unknown.

Variation. Females (n = 7): total length 10.7−13.9; prosoma length 4.5−5.6; femur I length 3.7−4.9. Distribution. Known from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Saint Croix (Map 2). Remarks. See remarks for N. croix sp. nov.
