REMARKS: Alien species originally from South Africa (Day 1955). Although the specimens reported by Giangrade et al. (2003, 2004) in the SA as S. hesslei were not re-examined, it is possible that they belong to S. comatus (Grube, 1856), as already reported by Çinar (2009) for the record of S. hesslei in the Gulf of Naples (Italy) by Giangrande et al. (1981).
