REMARKS: According to the results of the phylogenetic analysis of the scale-worms performed by Norlinder et al. (2012), the previous family Pisionidae Southern, 1914 (including Pisione Grube, 1857) is synonymyzed with the family Sigalionidae Malmgren, 1867 .
