REMARKS: Subtropical alien species from Southern Australia (Fauvel 1923b; Zenetos et al. 2010), which probably invaded the Mediterranean Sea as ship fouling during the First World War (Zibrowius 1992). In the Adriatic Sea it was recorded for the first time in the Venice Lagoon (NA) by Fauvel (1938).
