Genus Sigambra Müller, 1858
? Sigambra parva (Day, 1963)
DISTRIBUTION: CA, SA.
LITERATURE RECORDS: Fassari 1983; Radić 2009.
OTHER REPORTED NAMES: Ancistrosyllis parva Day, 1963
REMARKS: Sigambra parva was considered an alien species in the Mediterranean, that originated from South Africa (Zenetos et al. 2010). However, due to the confusing taxonomy concerning S. tentaculata and S. parva, the presence of S. parva in the Mediterranean cannot be assumed, and it may be too premature to regard it as an alien species.
Sigambra tentaculata (Treadwell, 1941)
