REMARKS: Strelzov (1973) examined the specimens from the NA classified by Fauvel (1940) as Aricidea jeffreysii Cerruti, 1909 and attributed them to A. fragilis Webster, 1879 . Castelli (1987) considers that all Adriatic Sea findings of A. jeffreysii should probably be attributed to the subspecies Aricidea fragilis mediterranea Laubier & Ramos, 1974, that was synonymized with A. (Aricidea) pseudoarticulata by Aguirrezabalaga & Gil (2009).
