OTHER REPORTED NAMES: Pholoe minuta (Fabricius, 1780) .

REMARKS: Reported for all Adriatic sectors in the polychaete checklist of the Italian seas (Castelli et al. 2008). However, more precise data on collecting sites not available. Reports of Pholoe minuta (Fabricius, 1780), which is a Northwestern Atlantic species that does not occur in European waters (Petersen 1998), by Casellato & Stefanon (2008) and Castelli et al. (2008) in the Adriatic Sea, probably refer to P. inornata .
