Gynapteromyia hondrui (Mamaev, 1964) comb. nov.

A single male from Romania, whose morphology was outlined by Mamaev (1964), is all that is known of this species. Mamaev (1964) mentioned that the genitalia of G. hondrui were similar to that in Diallactes (valid name Diallactia), but failed to detail his observation, so one needs to study the holotype specimen as to establish clarity on this point. A two-segmented palpus with swollen first segment was previously thought to be a peculiarity of G. hondrui (see Mohrig et al. 1980), but similar palpi were found in G. h e t e ro p t er a (Fig. 4E) and were described for G. indica (Grover 1971: pl. 1, fig. 1).
