Other male characters. Body length 1.5 mm. Head. Genal setae absent. Eye bridge without ommatidia dorsally. Scape with 4 setae. Only first flagellomere retained, its structure typical of the genus. Palpus (Fig. E) clearly shorter than head height, 3 stout segments, all with translucent sensilla, apical segment without setae. Wing length / width 2.5. Membrane fully setose. Vein btv setose. CuA fading out before wing margin. Legs with narrow scales in addition to setae. Genitalia (Fig. D). Gonocoxae: ventral emargination deep, broadened medially; ventral bridge unsetose, with indistinct transverse suture; anterior processes of apodemes as long as distance separating them. Gonostylus 3 times longer than wide. Tegmen blunt-ended; apodemes small.

Etymology. The species epithet is a Latin adjective meaning “with narrow gonostyli”.

Type material. Holotype. Male, Brunei, Ulu Temburong National Park, Kuala Belalong Field Studies Centre, 27 Jan.–17 Feb. 2015, lowland mixed dipterocarp forest, Malaise trap (#2), D. Kaspřák & M. Mantič (in UBDC).
