Genus Sylvenomyia Mamaev & Zaitzev, 1998

Sylvenomyia —Mamaev & Zaitzev 1998: 21. Type species, sueciae Mamaev & Zaitzev [= spinigera Spungis], by original designation.— Penttinen & Jaschhof 2009: 49 (review, new species); Jaschhof & Jaschhof 2013: 61 (review).

The genus Sylvenomyia, which contains two European species, is distinguished from other Diallactiini by the wing venation and male genitalic structures (Penttinen & Jaschhof 2009: figs 1, 2B–D). The genus was recently reviewed by Jaschhof & Jaschhof (2013). Larvae of Sylvenomyia are unknown.
