Material: 1 male, 30.iv.–16.v.1995, leg. S. Prchal, USA, Arizona, Pima County, Tucson Mts., 16 km W Tucson, 32.24°N, 111.13°W, Sonora desert, Malaise trap (PWMP).
Comments. The species is characterized by two apical spines within long bristles and a single spine, inserted in the middle of inner side of gonostylus as well as a very short c (= ¼ w). The species belongs to the Sc. armata group.
Distribution. Holarctic. Central Asia (Turkmenistan), USA (Arizona). New for North America.
