Diagnosis. Scape white (Figs 67, 68); legs (Fig. 42): fore and mid femora white to yellowish-white, hind femur white to yellowish-white with ¼ –¾ dark (three females from Italy, reared from Cerodontha incisa (Meigen) on Phalaris arundinacea L. ( Poaceae), have hind femur completely yellowish-white); tibiae white to yellowish-white; scutellum purple (Figs 15, 16); fore wing speculum with a few scattered setae (as in Fig. 72); male gaster with a pale spot subbasally (Fig. 16).
