5. Section Omphalanthus (Nees) Ye et al.: C. aurifera, C. filiformis, C. jackii, C. ovalis, C. paramicola, C. quinquecarinata, C. tonduzana .

6. Section Strepsilejeunea (Spruce) Ye et al.: C. acutangula, C. asperrima, C. comans, C. erostrata, C. inflexa, C. lobulata, C. ornata .

7. Section Trachylejeunea (Spruce) C.J.Bastos & Gradst.: C. aneogyna .

8. Insertae sedis: C. beyrichii, C. cuspidifera, C. laevicalyx, C. norisiae, C. revoluta . This group contains species that have not yet been sequenced and cannot be assigned to sections with certainty on morphological grounds.
