Pycnolejeunea valenciae Gottsche ex Stephani (1914: 605) .

Type:— VENEZUELA. Valencia. Fendler 70 (holotype G).

Known from two localities, in Venezuela (type locality) and Nicaragua (He 1996). The loan of the type material from Herbarium G was apparently lost during transfer, and we were not able to examine it.
