Diagnosis. On the basis of wing pattern, this species is close to P. oblectata Prout, 1929 (Moluccas), but it can be distinguished by the following characters: the reddish brown bands above the anal margins of all wings are broader, extending to CuA2; the hindwing postmedial line is less strongly protruding outwards between M3 and CuA2; the hindwing submarginal line is more distinct.
