Periclimenaeus crosnieri — Cardoso & Young, 2007:309.
Diagnosis. Rostrum slightly directed downwards, dorsal margin with 6 teeth, ventral margin unarmed. Basal segment of antennular peduncle with a broad and acute stylocerite, reaches the half this segment and with an anterolateral spine. Scaphocerite with a distal tooth not reaches the apex of the lamella. Carapace dorsoventrally inflated, only with antennal spine. Mandible without palp. First pereopods slender, fingers smaller than palm. Second pereopods unequal in shape and size, fingers smaller than palm, both dactyli with a strong tooth. Third to fifth pereopods with bifid dactyli. Pleura of first five somites of abdomen rounded. Telson with 2 pairs of dorsal spines and 3 pairs of spines on posterior margin.
Distribution. Western Atlantic: Brazil (Rio Grande do Norte [Atol das Rocas]) (Figure 10).
Material examined. RIO GRANDE DO NORTE, Atol das Rocas, 1 male, (MNRJ-17914); Atol das Rocas, 1 female, (MNRJ-19046).
Ecological notes. The species is found in sponges in depths between 15 and 20 m (Cardoso & Young, 2007).
