Periclimenaeus brucei — Cardoso & Young, 2007:302.
Diagnosis. Rostrum directed downward, dorsal margin with 8 teeth, ventral margin convex and unarmed. Basal segment of antennular peduncle with broad and acute stylocerite, not reaches the half of this segment and with an anterolateral strong spine. Scaphocerite with a small distal tooth not reaches the apex of lamella. Carapace with antennal spine. Mandible without palp. First pereopods slender, fingers smaller than palm. Second pereopods unequal in shape and size, both dactyli with a strong tooth. Third to fifth pereopods with bifid dactyli. Telson with 2 pairs of dorsal spines and 3 pairs of spines on posterior margin.
Distribution. Western Atlantic: Brazil (Rio Grande do Norte [Atol das Rocas]) (Figure 8).
Material examined. RIO GRANDE DO NORTE. Atol das Rocas, 1 indeterminate, (MNRJ- 19039); Atol das Rocas, 1 indeterminate, (MNRJ-19040); Atol das Rocas, 1 indeterminate, (MNRJ-19045).
Ecological notes. The species is found in sponges at 20 m depth (Cardoso & Young, 2007).
