Type data

This subspecies was described based on two males collected by J. Ogilvie at Saint Vincent, Lesser Antilles, on April 12, 1938. In the original description, Cockerell (1938) did not specify which male was the holotype or mentioned any data that could help to recognize it. However, Moure (1960) mentioned the type of this species was numbered 54853. In the NMNH, both specimens cited by Cockerell were found, with the number mentioned by Moure (1960), one bearing a label “type” and the other “cotype”.
