Material examined. 85 specimens (KUMN, ZMUN, ZIN) .
Note. Due to misidentification this widely distributed common species was mistakenly named Otiorhynchus
scaber, auct. nec Linnaeus, 1758 during two centuries. The latter belongs to the genus Romualdius (tribe Trachyphloeini) and is well known under junior synonymic name Romualdius bifoveolatus (Beck, 1817) .
Biology. Montane deciduous and mixed forests. Adults occur in V–VIII. Polyphagous.
