Distribution. Azores, Atlantic West Europe (Hlavác & Maughan 2013)

Biology. Polyphagous in dead wood of leaved trees and shrubs (Morris 2002).

Notes. Record from Ukraine in Catalogue of Palaearctic Coleoptera is apparently an error, ‘UK’ instead of ‘GB’, since this species has strict North Atlantic distribution.
