Saucrosmylus Ren & Yin, 2003

Type species. Saucrosmylus sambneurus Ren & Yin, 2003: 3 (by original designation).

Diagnosis. Forewing narrow, subtriangular with posterior margin straight to very slight falcate, apex distinctly angular, wing markings extensive with irregular banding pattern; subcostal veinlets dense and irregularly forked, with mostly regular rows of interlinking crossveins; RA area with 1–3 regular rows of cells; RP in both wings sharply curved anteriorly in distal part of wing, FW RP with six branches before RP anterior curve; distal RP branches only slightly angled posteriorly and lacking crossveins; end-twigging irregular; single row of cells between MA and MP; CuA fork forming large triangular area.

Comments. Saucrosmylus is the type genus of Saucrosmylidae, described based on two well-preserved specimens with distinctive wing banding.
