Calamotropha nigerifera Kim & Li, sp. nov.
(Figs 18, 40)
Type material. Yunnan: Holotype ♁, Linjiapu (25.29°N, 98.70°E), Tengchong County, 2144 m, 14.VIII.2014, leg. KJ Teng et al., slide No. KYN21260 . Paratypes: 4♁, same data as holotype, slide Nos. KYN21494, RH14067, RH14068 .
Diagnosis. The new species is similar to C. josettae Bleszynski, 1961 in the forewing pattern. It can be distinguished in the male genitalia by the costa of the valva not convex near base and without spines distally, the tubular phallus, and the vesica with two rows of cornuti. In C. josettae, the costa of the valva is convex near base and has four spines distally, the phallus is tapered to the apex, and the vesica has one small and two tiny spine-like cornuti (Li & Li 2012: Fig. 4B).
Description. Adult (Fig. 18). Wingspan 24.0–26.0 mm. Frons and vertex white. Maxillary palpus pale yellow basally, white distally. Labial palpus with first and second segments white on inner surface, pale yellow on outer surface; third segment white on basal 3/5, dark brown and white on distal 2/5. Antenna with scape white; flagellum white dorsally, dark brown ventrally. Patagium, tegula and thorax white. Forewing white; medial fascia pale yellow, ill-defined, with one longitudinal black medial streak parallel to costal margin; subterminal fascia pale yellow, excurved at anterior 1/3, posterior 2/3 oblique inward and parallel to terminal margin; pale yellow spot before apex, before it placed a pale yellow stripe parallel to subterminal fascia; terminal margin with two black dots on posterior 1/4; fringe metallic golden. Hindwing and fringe white. Fore- and midlegs with femora and tibiae pale yellow, tarsi brown; hindleg with femur and tibia white, tarsus pale yellow. Abdomen white.
Male genitalia (Fig. 40). Uncus slender, broad at base, narrowed distally, with several setae near base, slightly concave medially at apex. Gnathos slender, about 1.5 X as long as uncus, wide basally, narrowed distally, slightly reflexed at middle, obtusely angled dorsad at distal 1/3, rounded at apex. Tegumen subrectangular, nearly as long as gnathos. Valva subtriangular, wide at base, narrowed to obtuse apex, about 1.7 X length of gnathos, basal width approximately equal to length of gnathos; costa smooth. Pseudosaccus semicircular, short and small. Saccus wide basally, narrowed distally, length nearly equal to basal width of valva. Juxta semicircular. Phallus slender, 1.3 X as long as valva; vesica with two rows of eight to nine spiniform cornuti; ductus ejaculatorius arising from basal 1/6 of phallus.
Female unknown.
Distribution. China (Yunnan).
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin niger and -fera, referring to the longitudinal black medial streak of the forewing.
