Diagnosis. Adult (Fig. 3) wingspan 20.0–23.0 mm. Calamotropha alcesta can be distinguished in the male genitalia by the valva trifurcated from basal 1/4 (Fig. 29), and in the female genitalia by the flat antrum widened posteriorly and narrowed anteriorly (Fig. 51).
Distribution. China (Hainan, Yunnan), India.
Note. This species is newly recorded for China.
