911D683F3029FFFC9AA8ED47FD70FEAC.taxon	discussion	Notes: Chthonius ischnocheles is recorded in Bratislava for the first time. The species is distributed widely in Europe but in Slovakia, the data about its occurrence are rare (Krumpál 1980, 2000; Krumpál & Kiefer 1981). It was found in a beech forest and a cave (Krumpál 1980, 2000; Krumpál & Kiefer 1981). After more than 20 years, one male was extracted from a compost heap in the botanical garden in Bratislava, and by that new sampling site and habitat type for the species were discovered.	en	Christophoryová, Jana, Rusinko, Adam, Purkart, Adrián, Vičanová, Lucia (2025): Urban biodiversity of pseudoscorpions (Arachnida: Pseudoscorpiones) in the conditions of Central Europe. 911D683F302EFFFC9AA8EB16FDC1FC48.taxon	discussion	Notes: Chthonius ressli is an epigeic species that occurs mainly in leaf litter and decomposing material (Christophoryová et al. 2016, 2017 c). During this study, five sampling sites were added to the species distribution in Bratislava, and most of the samples confirmed the species’ habitat preferences. The occurrence of dead animals represents a new habitat type for the species. A total of 42 individuals representing all developmental stages were found on decomposing rats of different stages of decomposition.	en	Christophoryová, Jana, Rusinko, Adam, Purkart, Adrián, Vičanová, Lucia (2025): Urban biodiversity of pseudoscorpions (Arachnida: Pseudoscorpiones) in the conditions of Central Europe. 911D683F302EFFFD9AA8E9B3FB45FD68.taxon	discussion	Notes: Ephippiochthonius boldorii is the eudominant species of the family Chthoniidae in Bratislava with 793 specimens. This species is a typical inhabitant of leaf litter and soil mainly in the Malé Karpaty Mts. (Christophoryová 2013). The present results extend the occurrence of the species in Bratislava by six new sampling sites. The species was recorded for the first time in two habitat types, dead wood, and decomposing animals.	en	Christophoryová, Jana, Rusinko, Adam, Purkart, Adrián, Vičanová, Lucia (2025): Urban biodiversity of pseudoscorpions (Arachnida: Pseudoscorpiones) in the conditions of Central Europe. 911D683F302FFFFF9AA8E8D3FCD7FE3C.taxon	discussion	Notes: Ephippiochthonius fuscimanus is a typical epigean species inhabiting leaf litter and soil (Krumpál & Kiefer 1981; Christophoryová 2013; Christophoryová et al. 2016; ČervenÁ et al. 2020 b). Two adults were collected from a compost heap in the forest (KaňuchovÁ et al. 2015). A random occurrence of one female was recorded from a Quercus hollow (Christophoryová et al. 2017 b). During the present research, 14 new locations were added to the species distribution, thus adjusting its habitat preferences.	en	Christophoryová, Jana, Rusinko, Adam, Purkart, Adrián, Vičanová, Lucia (2025): Urban biodiversity of pseudoscorpions (Arachnida: Pseudoscorpiones) in the conditions of Central Europe. 911D683F302DFFE29AA8EB86FC76FDF4.taxon	discussion	Notes: Ephippiochthonius tetrachelatus is widely distributed in Europe (WPC 2024) and is a eurytopic species of the family Chthoniidae. It is most commonly found in leaf litter and soil (Christophoryová 2013; Christophoryová et al. 2016; ČervenÁ et al. 2020 b), but it has also been found in tree hollows (Christophoryová et al. 2016, 2017 b), bird nests, anthills (Christophoryová et al. 2017 a) and composts (KaňuchovÁ et al. 2015; Christophoryová et al. 2017 c). In the present study, 30 sampling sites of E. tetrachelatus in Bratislava were added. Regarding habitat preference, the dominant occurrence in substrates was confirmed. Interesting was the first finding on dead animals, while it was recorded on a rat and a mouflon in an advanced stage of decomposition.	en	Christophoryová, Jana, Rusinko, Adam, Purkart, Adrián, Vičanová, Lucia (2025): Urban biodiversity of pseudoscorpions (Arachnida: Pseudoscorpiones) in the conditions of Central Europe. 911D683F3030FFE39AA8E93AFE13F9C0.taxon	discussion	Notes: Neobisium carcinoides is the most widespread pseudoscorpion species of the family Neobisiidae in Europe (WPC 2024). It is a eurytopic species that tends to be abundant mainly in leaf litter and soil (Christophoryová 2013; Christophoryová et al. 2016; ČervenÁ et al. 2020 b). Its incidental occurrence was also recorded in composts (Christophoryová et al. 2017 c), Malaise traps (KrajčovičovÁ & ChristophoryovÁ 2014), or bird nests on the ground and in the bush (Christophoryová et al. 2011 a). ŠťÁhlavský & Dolejš (2019) list one female and one tritonymph from the collection of arachnologist František Miller, where only Bratislava is mentioned as a sampling site, without more detailed faunistic data. Despite the frequent occurrence of the species in Bratislava, 23 new sampling sites have been added to its distribution. For the first time it was collected from a dead mouflon, and both adult and nymphal stages were caught.	en	Christophoryová, Jana, Rusinko, Adam, Purkart, Adrián, Vičanová, Lucia (2025): Urban biodiversity of pseudoscorpions (Arachnida: Pseudoscorpiones) in the conditions of Central Europe. 911D683F3037FFE59AA8E83EFE88FB90.taxon	discussion	Notes: Neobisium sylvaticum lives in leaf litter and soil, but it is also known to be able to climb bushes or trees when looking for shelter or food (KrajčovičovÁ & ChristophoryovÁ 2014; ChristophoryovÁ et al. 2017 b). This ability is confirmed by older (ČervenÁ et al. 2020 b), but especially by new findings in the Malaise traps in Bratislava. This is also supported by records from Bratislava (Cyprich et al. 2000; Christophoryová et al. 2017 a). Tömösváry (1882) reported the species’ occurrence in Bratislava without specifying the biotope and habitat type. 911D683F3035FFE89AA8E9D7FED1FD20.taxon	discussion	Notes: The polytypic species D. latreillii was currently revised in the framework of an integrative taxonomic investigation, using DNA barcoding, multivariate ratio analysis, geometric morphometry of the male foretarsus, and genital morphology (Muster et al. 2024). The pattern of mitochondrial variation suggests three species-level entities in Central Europe, which differentiate in the structure of the female genitalia and their ecology. Dactylochelifer degeerii is the oldest available name for an inland species that has long been mistaken for the nominotypical species of D. latreillii. It is primarily associated with floodplains of rivers and rivulets. Cribriform plates in female genitalia are not connected, separated approximately by 1.2 – 1.5 times their diameter (Muster et al. 2024). Material from Bratislava was revised, and the photos of cribriform plates were consulted with Dr Christoph Muster from Germany. According to that the specimens earlier identified as D. latreillii were subsequently attributed to D. degeerii. ŠťÁhlavský & Dolejš (2019) identified three individuals of D. degeerii (as D. latreillii) from Bratislava in the collection of the arachnologist František Miller, without more precise locations of the finds. One male and one deutonymph were found in the nest of Turdus merula, and no further habitat information was given for one female. Dactylochelifer degeerii (as D. latreillii) was recorded in various habitat types in Bratislava, most frequently in bird nests (Christophoryová 2010; Christophoryová et al. 2011 a; KrajčovičovÁ et al. 2015). It was less common in tree hollows (ChristophoryovÁ 2010; KrajčovičovÁ & ChristophoryovÁ 2014), in Malaise trap (KrumpÁl & Christophoryová 2007), and soil (Christophoryová 2013). In Bratislava, 15 new sampling sites of the species distribution were added. It was collected using pitfall traps, found under the bark of trees, but also in leaf litter and dead wood.	en	Christophoryová, Jana, Rusinko, Adam, Purkart, Adrián, Vičanová, Lucia (2025): Urban biodiversity of pseudoscorpions (Arachnida: Pseudoscorpiones) in the conditions of Central Europe. 911D683F303AFFE89AA8E882FBBCFBB4.taxon	discussion	Notes: Mesochelifer ressli was recorded for the first time in Bratislava. It was found under the bark of conifers in the botanical and urban gardens. The species is dendrophilous and was collected in Slovakia mainly under the bark of pine and larch trees, and one individual was extracted from the mould of a linden tree hollow (KrajčovičovÁ & Christophoryová 2014; Christophoryová et al. 2017 b; ČervenÁ et al. 2020 b). ČervenÁ et al. (2020 b) also collected the species in other habitat types, namely in leaf litter and soil, and using a Malaise trap.	en	Christophoryová, Jana, Rusinko, Adam, Purkart, Adrián, Vičanová, Lucia (2025): Urban biodiversity of pseudoscorpions (Arachnida: Pseudoscorpiones) in the conditions of Central Europe. 911D683F3002FFD19AA8ED08FB3EFA94.taxon	discussion	Notes: Christophoryová et al. (2023) used an integrated approach to the taxonomy of Lamprochernes species in Europe. Based on the results of molecular, karyological, and morphometric data, individuals from Bratislava were reidentified (Christophoryová et al. 2011 b, 2017 c; KaňuchovÁ et al. 2015; ČervenÁ et al. 2020 b). Some nymphal stages were also reidentified (KaňuchovÁ et al. 2015; Christophoryová et al. 2017 c). The species L. chyzeri inhabits decomposing organic material, especially compost heaps (KaňuchovÁ et al. 2015; Christophoryová et al. 2017 c, 2023; ČervenÁ et al. 2020 b). It was also collected under tree bark (Krumpál & Christophoryová 2007; Christophoryová et al. 2017 b) and caught phoretically on a dipteran (Christophoryová et al. 2011 b). The new findings also confirm the known habitat preference of the species and add eight sampling sites of its occurrence in Bratislava.	en	Christophoryová, Jana, Rusinko, Adam, Purkart, Adrián, Vičanová, Lucia (2025): Urban biodiversity of pseudoscorpions (Arachnida: Pseudoscorpiones) in the conditions of Central Europe. 911D683F3000FFD29AA8EB7AFB56F89C.taxon	discussion	Notes: The species P. scorpioides inhabits mainly decaying organic material (KaňuchovÁ et al. 2015; Christophoryová et al. 2017 c; Garbiec et al. 2022). It can also be found in soil (Christophoryová 2013; Christophoryová et al. 2016), in anthills (Christophoryová et al. 2017 a), tree hollows (KrajčovičovÁ & ChristophoryovÁ 2014; ChristophoryovÁ et al. 2017 b) or in Malaise traps (KrajčovičovÁ & ChristophoryovÁ 2014). More than 20 new sampling sites enriched the distribution of P. scorpioides in Bratislava and confirmed its known habitat preferences.	en	Christophoryová, Jana, Rusinko, Adam, Purkart, Adrián, Vičanová, Lucia (2025): Urban biodiversity of pseudoscorpions (Arachnida: Pseudoscorpiones) in the conditions of Central Europe.
