03C487ADEB4CFFE36DB0FE0FFB09B733.taxon	discussion	Remarks. The genus formerly consisted of only one species from Peninsular Malaysia [Eufalconius pendleburyi Günther, 1938 from central Peninsular Malaysia (Selangor and Pahang)] (Cigliano et al., 2025). Species of this corticolous genus have (I) very wide metalateral plates (strong triangular ML projection), (II) females with flattened distal segment of the hind tarsi, and (III) lack of ventrolateral spine (Muhammad et al., 2018).	en	Muhammad, Amira Aqilah, Tan, Ming Kai, Azizan, Izz Amirul, Abdullah, Nurul Ashikin (2025): Pygmy grasshoppers (Orthoptera: Tetrigidae) from Sekayu, Terengganu; with the description of a new species. 03C487ADEB4CFFE66DB0FC21FE2AB646.taxon	discussion	Remarks. We observed three color forms of this species: unicolorous dark brown (Figs 1 A, 4 B), ML plate dark brown with lighter margins (Fig. 1 C), and dark-brown with lighter horizontal band across ML plate (Fig. 4 A). It is postulated that these color variation helps with camouflage, as E. pendleburyi may also display color variations (Cigliano et al., 2025).	en	Muhammad, Amira Aqilah, Tan, Ming Kai, Azizan, Izz Amirul, Abdullah, Nurul Ashikin (2025): Pygmy grasshoppers (Orthoptera: Tetrigidae) from Sekayu, Terengganu; with the description of a new species. 03C487ADEB46FFE96DB0FF67FD45B771.taxon	discussion	Remarks. Our specimen represents the first record of the species in Sekayu, Terengganu. Although this species is widely distributed in Peninsular Malaysia, its distribution is exclusive within the peninsula due to its dependency on fast-flowing rocky rivers, limiting its dispersal ability (Muhammad et al., 2023).	en	Muhammad, Amira Aqilah, Tan, Ming Kai, Azizan, Izz Amirul, Abdullah, Nurul Ashikin (2025): Pygmy grasshoppers (Orthoptera: Tetrigidae) from Sekayu, Terengganu; with the description of a new species. 03C487ADEB46FFE86DB0F915FB83B19B.taxon	discussion	Remarks. Our specimen represents a new locality record in Terengganu, Peninsular Malaysia. This species is a master of camouflage, found on decaying trees and logs, and moves minimally to avoid detection. Although P. coronata coronata Bolívar, 1887 is distributed in Peninsular Malaysia, our specimens resemble more closely P. coronata sumatrensis Bolívar, 1898 from Borneo and Sumatra by the more pronounced rugosity of the pronotum. However, the genus is still in need of a taxonomic revision (Tumbrinck, 2014), and we refrain from assigning subspecies status to the specimen.	en	Muhammad, Amira Aqilah, Tan, Ming Kai, Azizan, Izz Amirul, Abdullah, Nurul Ashikin (2025): Pygmy grasshoppers (Orthoptera: Tetrigidae) from Sekayu, Terengganu; with the description of a new species. 03C487ADEB47FFEA6DB0F9C1FB6DB566.taxon	discussion	Remarks. Our specimens represent the first record of this species in Terengganu, although this species is widespread in mainland Southeast Asia. We observed several more color variations of this species (see Adžić, 2021). Two distinct coloration groups include the uniform (Figs 7 A, 7 B) and patterned (Figs 7 C, 7 D). For the uniform coloration, light brown and gray were observed in our specimens, with the former being the most common. Specimens of patterned coloration are normally darker than the uniform-colored specimens and bear distinct darker patterns on the pronotum and hind femora.	en	Muhammad, Amira Aqilah, Tan, Ming Kai, Azizan, Izz Amirul, Abdullah, Nurul Ashikin (2025): Pygmy grasshoppers (Orthoptera: Tetrigidae) from Sekayu, Terengganu; with the description of a new species. 03C487ADEB42FFEC6DB0FF67FCD4B5F2.taxon	discussion	Remarks. Our specimen represents the first record of this species in Terengganu. Our specimens vary in color forms, and each of them bears distinct color patterns. Our specimens can be categorized into two color forms: brown with pronotum, head, and femora having striated patterns (Fig. 9 A; as in Adžić, 2021) and dark colored (dark brown to blackish) with lateral parts of habitus (i. e., fore femora, basal part of hind femora, and lateral lobes) having lighter brown patches (Figs 9 B – D). We now also know that this species tends to inhabit close to the ground, i. e., forest floors, pavements, and foliage of shrubs.	en	Muhammad, Amira Aqilah, Tan, Ming Kai, Azizan, Izz Amirul, Abdullah, Nurul Ashikin (2025): Pygmy grasshoppers (Orthoptera: Tetrigidae) from Sekayu, Terengganu; with the description of a new species.
