Holotype. ♂ ( NZAC04231098 , NZAC), VANUA LEVU ISLAND, Fiji , Navuturerega Creek, 16.6853S 178.9215E (2009-209), 6 August 2009, CB leg.

Paratypes. All specimens from VANUA LEVU ISLAND : 4♂♂ ( NZAC04231100–01 , USPac_12709–10) Navuturerega Creek 16.6853S 178.9215E (2009-205, 2009-226) 6 August 2009, (2011-052, 2011-059) 15–16 September 2011, all CB leg.; 1♂ (USPac_12711), mid-section of an unnamed creek ( Buca River headwater tributary) above the Mika Tings Farm settlement, 16.5946S, 179.7818E, 6 December 2022, BR, JR, MRVM, MM, PVM leg.

Allotype. ♀ ( NZAC04231099 , NZAC), VANUA LEVU ISLAND, Fiji , Navuturerega Creek 16.6853S 178.9215E (2009-217), 6 August 2009, CB leg.

Etymology. The name is composed of the Latin word roseus -a, -um and Greek στικτός –ή –όν [stiktós] = spotted, dappled in reference to the rose-coloured pterostigma.
