Morphological description. External morphology. Body pigmentation lightly gray. White-beige homogeneous color in fixed specimens. Length 42–70 mm (Mršić 55–79 mm), diameter 4–6 mm. Number of segments 140–164 (Mršić 156–172). Prostomium prolobous. Longitudinal furrows in first two segments. First dorsal pore at the intersegmental groove 9/10 (13/14). Male aperture in intersegmental groove 15/16, heart shaped, connected by seminal grooves to the clitellar bands. Setae closely paired with intersetal ratio aa =3bc, ab>cd, dd>1/2u. Glandular papillae surround setae ab in 12–16. Clitellum saddle-shaped, prominent lightly orange, segments 21–31 (Mršić from 20, 21, 1/2 21–32). Tubercula pubertatis in segments 21–28, 1/2 29 (Mršić 21, 1/2 21–29, 30, 1/2 30, 31).

Internal anatomy. Septa 5/6–11/12 strongly thickened and muscular. Hearts in segments 5–12. Calciferous glands with lateral tubercles are situated in 10. Crop in segments 15–16, gizzard in segment 17–20. The typhlosole is trifid. The testes are in 10 and 11, and the ovaries in 13. Two pairs of seminal vesicles in 11 to 12. Three pairs of spermathecae in 14–16 on septa 13/14–15/16. Nephridial bladders U-shaped (reclinate), the curved (glandular) part is oriented towards the anterior part of the body.

Distribution and ecology. Cernosvitovia treskavicensis is known from the Balkan Peninsula, Serbia and North Macedonia. This species has been found in humid meadows and pastures. It belongs to the endogeic species.

Remarks. The only information available on this species derives from the original description by Mršić (1991), which described this species as Italobalkaniona treskavicensis . Our specimens differ from the original description by the extension of clitellum and tubercula pubertatis (1–2 segments shorter). Such differences are within the usual intraspecific variation found in species of this group and is unlikely to hold taxonomic relevance. C. treskavicensis is easily distinguished from other species classified within Italobalkaniona by Mršić (1991) according to the position of the clitellum, tubercula pubertatis and number of seminal vesicles ( Table 5 View TABLE 5 ).
